The facility comprises of 4 units, Nasu, Engke, Kadan, and The Straw House, which boast a generous living space and plenty of headroom, so those of you who are more vertically-challenged need not worry, you’ve got 2.5m headroom at the crown wheel.
Built in Mongolia, following traditional construction methods, these wonderful dwellings are eco-friendly and observe all the workforce and environmental regulations in force.
In summer, the yurts provide a cool and refreshing escape from the burning heat of the Cyprus sun. With the door open and the crown wheel off, the yurt acts as a flue creating constant draught. Who needs airconditioning, after all?!
But, this is not all. Yurts in Cyprus is a perfect place to go to in the cold season as well. Each yurt is equipped with a wood burner to keep you warm in cooler months, giving a romantic feel to your stay.
As always safety comes first, so each yurt has a fire extinguisher, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Although situated in the hilly region of Cyprus, remote from the hectic, noisy cities, there are plenty of things to keep you busy in the area. Only 3km to the south, there’s Simou village where you can find traditional tavernas, cafes and a Halloumi (traditional cheese delicatesse) ‘factory’. 3km to the north, in Filousa village, where you can enjoy a wonderful pastime and learn more about local customs.
For sports lovers, there are golf courses in the area nearby. If you prefer water sports, Latchi Harbour is only a stone-throw away. You can also take a trip to the wineries and monasteries in the countryside, cycle, stargaze and a lot more.
