This Bole mud mosque is one of Ghana's remaining six mud mosques and was said to have been built in the 17th century in a Sudanic architectural style with mud and sticks. The mosque is in a good state and can be visited also for a view from the roof overlooking the town of Bole.

Although it is said the construction of the mosque must have been in the 18th century, historical events and recent radiocarbon dating suggest the current structure was [re-]built in the early 20th century.

Bole is located in the West Gonja District, Northern Region of Ghana.
